We get involved in our neighbourhood

Énergir’s head office is located in a low-income area. Acutely aware of this reality, the company and its employees have always believed in striving to improve the living conditions of those who are struggling...Actions that make a difference.

Mutual assistance benefits everyone!

For the last several years, employees have embraced the company’s causes, including Centraide, and have been extremely generous in giving and participating enthusiastically in various fundraising activities! They break new records year after year.

Generosity in effect since 1984!

Every year, as the holidays approach, some 100 employees organize fund-raising events, buy food and deliver Christmas baskets to 250 local families. This tradition brings comfort to people in need and warms our hearts.

The sounds of the Énergir Rock Band

A feast for the eyes and ears! Employees who are passionate about music have formed the famous Gaz Métro Rock Band. In addition to rocking the stage at internal events, they contribute their talent to causes that matter to them. They hold benefit concerts for cancer research and the Accueil Bonneau. They are as talented as they are generous!

Let’s get involved! Atout cœur

Many employees get involved in their own communities for causes they hold dear, and we support them in their initiatives. Spending time and energy improves the community’s quality of life and supports the company’s civic values. Specifically intended for employees, the Atout cœur program helps give donations to Québec non-profit organizations in which employees are actively involved. Do you believe, as we do, that community investment is an essential driving force for development?

Since the beginning of the program, in 2008

  • 8 years of existence
  • 70 organizations supported
  • 300 employees involved
  • 5,000 hours of volunteer work
  • 8 hours of volunteer work per month, on average
  • $200,000 of donations
