Montréal, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 – On February 21 next, about 30 Gaz Métro employees will climb Mount Royal during the 11th edition of Tuques Bleues, an event initiated by Les Amis de la montagne. Gaz Métro’s participation in the event affirms the company’s support for conserving one of Montréal’s most treasured green spaces.
In joining this fundraising activity as a major partner, Gaz Métro is saluting the exceptional achievements of Les Amis de la montagne. “Our participation in the snowshoe event and the Tuques Bleues celebration is an ideal way of supporting the efforts of Les Amis de la montagne to enhance the historic and natural heritage of Mount Royal. Thanks to their many achievements and their passion, Montrealers and their families can fully appreciate the value of this jewel in the city’s crown,” said Jean Simard, Vice-President, Sustainable Development and Governmental Affairs.
