When choosing your water heater for your combo system, you can choose the condensing model that is more efficient and helps you reduce your energy consumption. While you can choose an efficient water heater for your combo system, consider the very high efficiency combo configurations 4 that can significantly reduce your bill. Convert your current water heater by installing a natural gas water heater and be eligible for a grant of $250 for the purchase and installation of the appliance, no matter which model they choose. This is our way of helping you enjoy natural gas.3
3. The rebates are applicable to Énergir customers equipped with central heating appliances, provided that they do not have a heat pump or dual-energy heating system. The $250 rebate is based on a customer that consumes less than 3,000m3 of natural gas per year. The rebates are subject to credit approval and eligibility for the natural gas Consumption Rebate Program and the Energy Efficiency Program. The rebate may vary, depending on the appliances installed and other factors. The terms and conditions of the program and the amounts of financial assistance are subject to change without notice. To benefit from this grant, you must sign a contract with Énergir or an Énergir Natural Gas Certified Partner first.
1-2-3: The cost to switch to natural gas includes a basic connection charge of $300. An additional cost may apply if an extension to the natural gas network is needed, plus an additional contribution based on the expected consumption of natural gas.
4. The Thermal Performance Factor of the installed combo system was certified greater than 0.90 by the CSA P.9 standard (new standard developed by Natural Resources Canada and CSA to certify the efficiency of combo systems).
