Grant for high efficiency appliance

Get an additional grant by choosing a condensing hot-water boiler

High-efficiency boilers quickly provide even heating while minimizing energy loss. As part of its Energy Efficiency Program, Énergir offers an additional grant of $900 to encourage its customers to adopt energy-wise lifestyles. This amount helps reduce the difference between the cost of this high-performance appliance and the cost of a standard boiler. See the list of appliances qualifying for this program.**

IMPORTANT: To benefit from the high efficiency due to condensation, the boiler must be installed on a heating system that provides a return water temperature to the boiler of 55 °C (131 °F) or less. The indoor/outdoor control of temperature via an external sensor also optimizes the operation of the boiler for space heating applications.

Terms

* Discount only applicable during the conversion to a natural gas central heating appliance. These discounts are available only to homeowners with central heating appliances and to residents whose homes are on the existing Énergir natural gas network, as long as they don't own a heat-pump. Dual energy heating systems are not eligible for financial aids and the house can not be part of a new housing construction project supplied by Énergir. Also, these discounts do not apply to those building their own homes. Additional discounts are available on the installation of multiple natural gas appliances.  The discounts cannot be combined with any other Énergir promotion and may be subject to credit approval and eligibility for a natural gas consumption discount program and the energy efficiency program. The discounts are applied directly to the installation invoice. A financial contribution for the connection of your home to the natural gas distribution network is required and will be invoiced in the form of interest-free instalments of 12,50 $ (before taxes) for the next 24 months. This amount may vary depending on equipment installed and other factors. Some restrictions apply. In order to qualify for this grant, you must contractually commit with Énergir or an Énergir Certified Natural Gas Partner prior to your appliances’ installation.
